We are recruiting Band 5 RGNs and RMNs on behalf of one of our NHS clients

We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and experienced nurses, who have a professional and caring approach to their work and are keen to develop both their skills and the skills of junior team members further.  

The role includes holding a caseload of clients, as well as working as part of a multidisciplinary team of professionals formulating care and treatment plans for individuals, and working closely with their carers and families.

Main Duties

To be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team of staff from different disciplines and will have the opportunity to develop your skills further.

You will be expected to help lead the team with the support of the Clinical lead and Team Manager, in order to achieve high standards of client care. You will also supervise junior members of the team whilst holding a caseload of clients.

Job Specifications - Registered Mental Nurse

Knowledge

Essential criteria:

  • Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within the identified clinical area
  • Understanding of current mental health legislation
  • Basic IT skills


Desirable criteria:

  • Evidence of project work that has impacted on practice and demonstrates a higher level of communication/planning/change that impacts within own area of work/responsibility

Experience

Essential criteria:

  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the clinical area at specialist level of care
  • Evidence of development of specialist practice nursing skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/development
  • Evidence of promoting/supporting active user/carer involvement/participation
  • Act as Care Programme Approach (CPA) Coordinator


Desirable criteria:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in the specific field where the post is held
  • Development of specialist/advanced level of practice skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/development
  • Leadership/management experience which has had a positive impact and created change within the service delivery/practice
  • Professional networking locally
  • Ability to effectively Chair meetings

Qualifications

Essential criteria:

  • Part III or 13 of NMC live register
  • Post registration/graduate diploma or equivalent experience in related work area, to demonstrate advanced level of practice 
  • Demonstrable experience of mentoring preregistration students
  • Prepared to undertake or hold a recognised non-medical prescribing qualification, if required


Desirable criteria:

  • Evidence of CPD or experiential learning at an advanced level e.g. Post graduate/Masters level
  • Leadership training/qualification/experience

  • Requirement for frequent concentration e.g. assessments, and care plans. The work may be unpredictable
  • Frequent exposure to emotional or distressing circumstances
  • Some exposure to hazards e.g. verbal aggression, bodily fluids

Job Specifications - Registered General Nurse

Knowledge

Essential criteria:

  • A broad understanding of relevant policy, legislation drivers and their application to clinical and service area
  • An understanding of relevant clinical
  • Basic IT skills

 

Desirable criteria:

  • Full understanding of relevant policy, drivers and their application to clinical and service area
  • Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified clinical area

Experience

Essential criteria:

  • Willingness to undertake and complete preceptorship; facilitating the transition for newly qualified nurse booklet and core competency development programme
  • Appropriate knowledge/experience of working in Community Nursing
  • Understanding of caseload management responsibilities

 

Desirable criteria:

  • Successful completion of preceptorship
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the clinical area at specialist level of care
  • Evidence of specialist practice skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/development

Qualifications

Essential criteria:

  • Degree/diploma in adult nursing
  • Willingness to undertake mentorship training and responsibilities
Desirable criteria:
  • Demonstrable experience of mentoring pre-registration students
  • Evidence of current CPD/formal qualifications at an advanced level e.g.degree or postgraduate level or equivalent knowledge/experiential learning
