Due to recent changes to the UK immigration system, international nurses now have the option to work in the UK as a Senior Care Assistant.
Although the role of Senior Carer isn’t the same as that of a nurse, it does incorporate many elements of a nursing position, including administering medication, team leadership and more.
Plus, the immigration route is quicker and more direct, as applicants who take this path do not need to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), as those wishing to work as nurses in the UK do.
We have senior healthcare positions at private care and nursing establishments throughout the UK.

If you meet our criteria, we will ask you to register on our system. Once registered, we will enhance your CV and profile and promote you to over 10,000 hospitals and nursing homes throughout the UK. We will introduce you to suitable employers and will arrange video interviews on your behalf.
If successful, we will then advise you on the visa application, can assist with booking travel to the UK and assist with anything else.
And that’s not all – We can also provide you with accredited Care Certificate training, if needed.
SENIOR CARER DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Supervising a team of healthcare assistants
- Updating resident records, observations etc
- Moving & handling - Ensuring residents are moved in the correct and safe way
- Administering medication to residents
- Toileting assistance and changing pads
- Providing person care to residents
APPLICANT CRITERIA:
- Nursing diploma in home country
- Care Certificate training
- 12 months minimum nurse work experience
- Passed language exam at relevant score
- Flexibility with location

APPLICATION INFORMATION
Applicants must have the ability to speak, write, read and fully understand English at least Level B1 on the common European framework of reference for language (CEFR) scale. This can be proved by any of the following options:

A Skilled Worker visa allows you to come to or stay in the UK to do an eligible job with an approved employer. This visa has replaced the Tier 2 (General) work visa.
In order to apply for your UK work visa, you need a Certificate of Sponsorship (COS). The employer acts as your sponsor and will apply for this on your behalf. Your COS will last 3 years, after which you can be re-sponsored. After living in the UK for 5 years, you can apply for permanent residency. Read more

There are a number of documents needed when applying to work in the UK, including:
- A valid Passport or driving licence
Proof of knowledge of English
Job title, annual salary and occupation code
2 x Previous job or study references
- COVID vaccination certificate
- Nursing degree certificate
- TB result (if from a listed country) MORE INFO
- Copy of Visa (if in UK)
- Proof of address
- If you’re applying from overseas, or if you’re applying in the UK but have been here less than 12 months with permission, you’ll need to show: Evidence that you can support yourself in the UK, for example, bank statements. You must have at least £1,270 in your account. Funds must have been in the bank account for at least 28 days in a row – day 28 must be within 31 days of applying for the visa
- Full medical report (Not necessary on initial application but will need to see this before Visa application)
International applicants applying for a Senior Carer position are required to do the mandatory Care Certificate training.
If successful in your application, you will be added to our training platform and expected to do the course before travelling to the UK.
