As well as being a team leader, the role of a senior assistant is to portray the best example of a healthcare assistant.
Disseminating skills learnt through experience, enforcing regulations and sharing best practices are key factors in this role.
It’s the duty of the senior to ensure that the highest quality of care is being received at all times in the healthcare establishment.
Senior healthcare assistants will often provide medication administration and recording assistance to the care home manager or any on-duty nurses.
Hiring options:
You’re free to choose how long you hire our healthcare workers for – From 3 – 12 months.
Meanwhile, we take care of the paperwork like PAYE, National Insurance and holidays.

What you can expect:
EXPERIENCED SENIORS
All our senior carers have a Level 3 in Health & Social Care and at least 12 months previous healthcare experience
STAFF MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Access to our bespoke Staff Management Software, which manages employee data, compliance & RTW checks, timesheets and payroll
DBS CHECK
All our carers have a current DBS check
INSURANCE POLICY
All our carers have a valid insurance policy
Senior carer general duties include:

Supervising:
A team of healthcare assistants

Updating resident records:
Resident observations, activities etc

Administering Medication:
To residents
-
Moving & Handling:
Ensuring that residents and moved in the correct and safe way

Toileting Assistance:
Assisting residents using the toilet and changing pads if necessary

Support & Companionship:
Providing support to residents and their families
