We were first approached last year to see if we were interested in being part of a project to commemorate some Leeds Utd legends, who had passed away that year.
Having previously commissioned our own car park mural with local artist Nick Dixon, we jumped at the chance to be part of his latest project in Pudsey, Leeds.
The project required a large, clear space and the side of our head office, overlooked by Pudsey Market, was the perfect spot.
The 33ft mural is a tribute to Jack Charlton, Norman Hunter, Trevor Cherry and Peter Lorimer, who all passed away during 2020. Family members of the players were also there at the launch.
It’s already drawing plenty of visitors to the market, with families and individuals coming from across the city and beyond to have their photo taken alongside the mural. One visitor said:
“We fancied a day out and had seen all the publicity about it. We’re both Leeds fans so thought we’d come and see it. It’s brilliant, a fitting tribute to the legends.”
